Plant of the Month
The Snowdrops are now in full flower, brightening up the Winter garden, They are planted in full view of my kitchen window making washing-up much more pleasurable. I really feel the new year has started when they arrive.
Hellebores are bursting into flower bringing more colour into the shade garden. I bought the double pink one at the back as an un-named seedling on a garden visit to a specialist breeder in Somerset a few years ago and it is looking lovely. It is taller than the usual hellebores with smaller but more numerous flowers on each flower stem giving it lighter, airier look.

I created two new prints for a triptych picture For Cytun to present to Canon Peter Cox of All Saints Church on the occasion of his retirement at the end of January.
All Saints Church itself was quite a challenge as there are so many lovely mature trees around it but I managed to find an angle and made good use of the sky reflected in the main church window to give extra light..
The second print of All Saints Church hall by the renowned architect John Coates Carter, was easier as it in a more open location. It is a delightful building and I have taken the liberty of removing some of the lichens from the roof to reveal the lovely red tiles a little more. A print of Penarth Pier High Tide completed the triptych. Both new prints are available at Artisans Corner.
