Plant of the Month
Winter Iris
The first Winter Iris is always a joy even if it's looking as bedraggled as this one! Will it ever stop raining? Britain has suffered the worst floods for many years, all part of Global Warming.
I installed three waterbutts in the Summer because of the continual droughts. Now "no rain" has changed to "too much rain"! It is still a good decision as our climate is setting new patterns and we gardeners will need to adjust what we grow. We will need to change the way we grow plants too with the change to peat-free compost now in place.
Artisans Corner
My hand-stamped Santes Dwynwen cards are now in Artisans Corner, Penarth. They will be followed by English and Welsh Valentines Day cards before the end of January.
Just a reminder of my hanging space in Artisans Corner, it's not easy to photograph with the light coming in through the shop door but it shows the current display. It's good to have my triptychs back in the shop, two on display and others in store, please ask to see them. I am planning another exhibition in Foxy's Deli, Penarth, in June this year, more information later.
