First an apology - I have just realised I didn't produce a February Newsletter. I am so sorry, not sure how that happened. Even worse, I am late with this one. Sorry!
Plant of the Month
Here they come again, so reliable and so beautiful. I never tire of greeting the Hellebores every Spring. They always come out in the same order, the pink one first, white one second and so on. At present as we come into March they are looking a bit unhappy as we await snow. There is an amber warning in force for Penarth and it is bitterly cold. Our micro-climate proves a blessing, many parts of Britain are experiencing heavy snow, blizzard conditions and more severe weather warnings.
The Camellia is in a sheltered spot and is unfazed by our current severe frosts but my neighbour's over the road is badly affected. It is so sad to see it covered in brown, spoiled flowers. The good news is, because Camellias flower over a long period, they will be replaced with new perfect ones as the weather improves.
Artisans Corner News
It's Mothers Day this month and I have been busy producing some new card designs. At last I have managed to find a lovely Welsh language stencil and can produce a wider range of hand-stencilled cards in both Welsh and English, focused on flower designs.
I will be bringing them into Artisans Corner on Monday 5th March along with some hand-stencilled gift tags, also in both languages.
. I have also introduced a new range of artwork - canvas prints - to add to my existing print range. They are deep-edge block canvas and measure 18 x 24 inches, price £85.00. The example shown is of Penarth Pier Pavilion Ebb Tide but they an be ordered in most of the existing range and other sizes. Please leave a message in Artisans Corner or contact me direct from this website. Canvases will be ready for collection within seven working days.
