The Fox in Winter
Foxes are common in most rural areas of Britain. They are highly efficient hunters and have also adapted well to living in urban areas.
Red squirrels are far less common than their grey cousins and much more vulnerable to disease. I've portrayed this one in Spring woodland complete with my favourite wood anemones, a perfect habitat.
Otters can be found living near water where there is a good supply of fish and other marine prey. They are shy by nature and not easily seen.
Brown Hare in Spring
Brown Hares are found in open meadows and are masters of concealment. They are most active in Spring and their courtship "boxing" is well known.
Mountain Hare in Winter
Mountain hares are brown in Summer but have a whiter coat in Winter to make them less visible in snow and protect them from predators
Red Deer Stag
Red stags are mostly found in the hills and mountains throughout Britain. The size of their antlers increases with age.
Badgers at Dusk
Badgers are nocturnal animals, appearing from their underground setts at dusk to forage for food
